While traveling China, back in 2014, Lion terribly failed in most areas of his life, including love. He decides to return 4 years later, leaving everything behind in the western world, to discover the real China, and even more important, discover himself and find forgiveness. Back then he saw himself and acted as a “loser”, but now he is determined to change the storyline in the pursuit of his Chinese Dream. Is China that miserable? Poor? Polluted? Messed up? With unbearable human rights? On the way to find those answers, Lion brings his crew on a thrilling journey of exploring the land rich in culture, remarkable people, and mouth-watering cuisine, creating the most emotional and exciting real story you will ever see on film. Surely, the path is not always easy. Lion on the Road - Discover Real China is a one-of-a-kind web series project that takes viewers on a journey through the heart of China. With its mission to showcase the real China, the project aims to shed light on the country's unique culture, traditions, and way of life, while also highlighting the challenges that come with living and adapting in a foreign land. The project began in March 2018, with the objective of releasing 2-4 feature episodes every month during a one-year trip across the country. This unique travel program is not a movie or vlog but a documentary that presents a different perspective on China.

MY 2023 | THE BEST

This morning, our guide woke up super early and with a local friend turned guide Zakariah, and Valery drove to Sahara for another exciting journey. Out of the beautiful Marrakech City to the Sahara desert, the blue sky and long series of small hills can be seen along the way. We passed by some Berber ladies, with firewood on their backs walking back from collecting the woods around the hills, each of them brought firewood twice as big as their body. What a strong Berber ladies. Our next destination is the Ouarzazate, around 200 kilometers south of Marrakech, a popular stopover for tourists. Visiting this city you are instantly transported to movies like Gladiator, The Mummy, Game of Thrones, and many box office movies with desert backgrounds.

2024 was a year that stripped me to the bone. A year that began with hope, but quickly turned into a storm that tore through everything I thought I could hold together my company, my health, my friendships, my love, my money, my sense of control. I set out to document Tanah Airku, to trace the soul of this country from end to end, but what I ended up documenting was my own collapse, my own survival, and the raw truth that sometimes the road takes more than it gives.

Celebrating Christmas in Timor Leste was a super special moment. The story, location, feelings, and people's approach are different from the Vatican or other Christian countries. Not only joining the Christmas mass, we also experienced the Christmas celebrations right within a family of locals. Christmas is big in Timor Leste, considering that the majority of its population is Christian, and the Catholic church becomes the dominant religious institution. The constitution of East Timor protects the freedom of religion, and representatives of the Catholic, Protestant, and Muslim communities in the country report generally good relations, although members of community groups occasionally face bureaucratic obstacles, particularly with respect to obtaining marriage and birth certificates. Hotan, located in Xinjiang, China, has a rich history as a major silk production point, with more than a thousand workers employed to produce 150 million meters of silk annually. From this production, the Hotanese pile carpets were born and continue to be highly prized. The traditional methods of making these carpets are still being used, and they are available in various sizes, with personalized models being ordered mostly for export. We visited the biggest carpet factory in the area and witnessed the skill and dedication required to make a single model of carpet. The manager informed us that it could take up to three months to finish one carpet. The workers have flexible schedules and can take breaks whenever they want since they are paid per project, not monthly.

As we entered Xinjiang from Qinghai province and headed towards Kashgar, we were followed by the police everywhere we went. Every restaurant or shop we entered would shut down, making it impossible for us to get anything to eat. We were in constant fear for our safety and we felt the presence of death closer than ever before.
