Our team managed to enter the dragon boat race in the Panyu district of Guangzhou. We spent seven hours waiting for our turn to race, but the wait was worth it. We experienced the thrill of racing on the dragon boat with a team of locals and foreigners, and we were amazed by the energy and enthusiasm of the crowd cheering us on. It was an unforgettable experience that taught us the importance of teamwork and perseverance.

Did our team win the race? That is not important. What we gained from the experience was far more valuable than any trophy. We learned about Chinese culture, made new friends, and experienced the thrill of competition. We also learned that participating in a dragon boat race as a foreigner requires persistence, patience, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
